Winners Announced In Powder Alliance’s 16/17 Wild West Powder Quest

Pass holders from 15 resorts and 3 countries set about finding the deepest powder in the world this winter in the 16/17 Wild West Powder Quest.  Created by the Powder Alliance, the world’s  premiere season pass affiliate group, participants visited as many Powder Alliance resorts as possible during the 16/17 season for their chance to win season passes, goodie bags, and trips for two (2) to the Powder Alliance resort of their choice.

Once entered at http://www.powderalliance.com/wildwestpowderquest/ each geotagged photo shared on Instagram acted as an entry.  The more resorts visited, the better their chances of winning.  Powder Alliance resorts for 16/17 include Angel Fire, NM, Arizona Snowbowl, AZ, Bridger Bowl, MT, China Peak, CA, Crested Butte, CO, Kiroro, Japan, Mountain High, CA, Mt Hood Skibowl, OR, Schweitzer, ID, Silver Star, BC Canada, Snowbasin, UT, Stevens Pass, WA, Sierra At Tahoe, CA, Timberline, OR, and Whitewater, Canada.

This year’s winners are:

Leah MacGillivray :   4 days of lifts, lodging, and air fare for two (2)

Leah MacGillivray from Silverstar, BC Canada, visited 10 of the 15 Powder Alliance Resorts while taking time off after earning her Environmental Engineering Degree.  She receives a 4-day vacation to the Powder Alliance resort of her choice including lift tickets, lodging, and airfare and has chosen Kiroro, Japan.  Congratulations Leah!

Levi Frederick:   2017/18 Anytime Season Pass

Levi Frederick from Chandler, AZ, took home a 17/18 Anytime Season Pass to his home resort of Arizona Snowbowl for his participation in this year’s Wild West Powder Quest.  When asked about his favorite moment Frederick said “Sierra At Tahoe.  Epic powder, the gates are amazingly fun to ride, and the BBQ is out of this world!”

Peter Stitt:  Swag Bag (sweatshirt, t-shirt, hat, mug, stickers, and more)

Peter Stitt is a native of Washington State who served a career in the United States Navy and now lives on a small farm near Stevens Pass, WA.  Thanks to the Powder Alliance, Peter was able to ski several new resorts this year including Kiroro, Japan, which he visited with friends who live in Okinawa.  “It was an awesome season,” said Stitt, made even better by an awesome gift bag from Kiroro, Japan.

Says John McColly, Powder Alliance spokesperson, “The Wild West Powder Quest is the perfect way for Powder Alliance members to explore all 15 resorts and share their memories with family and friends.  Who knows?  Maybe you’ll be the one on a trip of a lifetime next season.”

The Wild West Powder Quest is set to resume this November so, for all you snow seekers who didn’t participate this year, get a season pass to your favorite Powder Alliance resort and join the Quest.  Its free!  Powder Alliance members receive three free days (restrictions apply) at all participating areas making it easy to explore some of the world’s deepest destinations without breaking the bank.  Tickets are generally valid Sunday – Friday, non-holiday, but participants are encouraged to check the Powder Alliance website for complete restrictions, lodging specials, and travel discounts.
